Simple & Clean Design
Right away, when you first take the Whynter ARC-14S Portable Air Conditioner out of the box, you’ll notice that it has a simple and clean design. All of the features and settings this portable air conditioner relies on are clearly outlined and delineated, which means that you won’t have any problems figuring out how to use this portable air conditioner.
Most of the time, to access these settings and features, you’ll be using the controls that are on the front of the portable air conditioner. These buttons are labeled and they give you easy access to all of the features and settings that you’ll need to use.
If you don’t want to use that control panel, though, you can use the remote control that Whynter has included. This remote control is very small, and it doesn’t contain that many buttons. But, the buttons it does contain are all labeled and give you easy access to all of the features and settings that you need.
Easy Set-Up & Installation
In contrast to many portable air conditioners, setting up this portable air conditioner is a very easy experience. All you need to do is take the window kit that Whynter has included, and follow the exact instructions that Whynter has provided. These instructions make it easy to figure out how to hook up the different hoses and contraptions to the air conditioner and to the window.
When you’ve set-up that kit and when the portable air conditioner is plugged in, you can turn it on and that’s that! It’s a simple and easy process that makes using this portable air conditioner very easy.
Cools Large Spaces
With this portable air conditioner, you can cool spaces that are up to 500 square-feet. That is plenty of space for a portable air conditioner. With this Maximum Area Coverage, you can easily cool a small apartment, a living room, a kitchen, or a bedroom. Because of that, this is an excellent portable air conditioner for cooling spaces of that sort.
Multiple Operation Modes
While this portable air conditioner is, first and foremost, an air conditioner, it does offer two other modes that you can use. There is a dehumidification mode, and there is a fan that you can use.
With the dehumidification mode, you can remove the excess humidity from the air coming into the air conditioner and the air that is within your space. This is especially useful if you live in a humid area.
Using the fan that’s built into the air conditioner, you can more effectively push the cool air that’s being produced across your space. This makes it easier to cool a larger space without having to move the portable air conditioner across many different spaces.
Very Useful Settings
With this portable air conditioner, you have access to two settings that are very useful and allow for an easier air conditioning process.
When it comes to the air conditioning process, you can choose any temperature between 61-degrees and 89-degrees. That way, the air conditioner can produce air that is as cool as you need it.
Along with that, there is a timer function that allows you to determine how long the portable air conditioner runs for any particular length of time. If you want it to run for six-hours, for example, the timer will allow you to do that.
Inside of this portable air conditioner, there are two filters. These filters are simple and not particularly elaborate, but they work very well and allow your air to be as clean as it can be.
With the activated carbon filter, the nasty odors and smells that are in the air flowing in and out of the air conditioner are removed. This keeps your air smelling nice.
The washable pre-filter is used to keep larger particles out of both the portable air conditioner, and the air that comes out of it. These are particles such as dust, hair, and pollen. Removing these particles keeps your air nice and clean.
