The Roborock S5

One of the most immediately noticeable features of the Roborock S5 is the fact that it has a battery life of 2.5 hours. That is unparalleled when it comes to other robot vacuums, and as such, it makes the S5 very special.

Due to this long battery-life, you can easily clean the entirety of your home – or, at the very least, one floor of it – within that period, and there is a good chance you will still have some battery life left.

In comparison to other robot vacuums, you have significantly less battery life, which does make cleaning an entire space within one cleaning cycle more of a challenge than it needs to be.

Of course, this doesn’t really matter as much as how the device cleans, and fortunately, it cleans very well.

You will be using the vacuum and the mop, at the same time. The vacuum sucks up all of the bigger dust particles and all of the various chunks of dirt and debris. Then, the mop system makes sure that there aren’t any stains left over from the vacuuming process, and that the floors are extra nice and clean.

Both of these systems work very well, overall, and that’s because they work in harmony with one another. Along with that, the vacuum is powered by 2000Pa of suction, which is quite good.

Using the vacuum is easy since you can use your smartphone to access all of the basic features. Features such as creating a schedule for the vacuum, changing the cleaning settings, seeing where the vacuums are on the map, as well as a couple of other features that are a bit more unique.

When you use the smartphone app, you get a layout of the floor that the vacuum is cleaning. With the press of a few buttons, you can tell the vacuum which spaces to clean, and which spaces to avoid. This ensures that the S5 cleans one space very thoroughly, rather than simply wandering around and cleaning everything.

Due to these features, you have a tremendous amount of control over the S5.

The Roborock E25

With the Roborock E25, you are only getting 1800Pa of suction power. Along with that, the app itself gives you a bit less functionality and control over the vacuum, which is somewhat unfortunate.

However, while the overall suction power may be less, the suction system has been refined. Instead of just sweeping and pulling in dirt and debris, the E25 uses a cyclonic system, which creates a tremendous amount of airflow that is able to more effectively suck in dirt, dust, and debris, due to the intensity of the airflow. This means that you are able to clean both hard floors and soft floors, in a much more effective manner.

Instead of only being able to use the mop while the vacuum is running, you can also use the mop on its own, as a separate feature. When the vacuum is moving, only then will it mop, which prevents puddles from being created. And the mop is much better than the one in the S5 because it uses a bit more water, and the suction system is better, so there is less to mop up, in the first place.

However, the biggest feature is the new “dual-gyro navigation system”, which is a much more efficient way of creating specific cleaning pathways that lead to more thorough and effective results, when it comes to the cleanliness of your home.
