Central vacuum systems are a lot different from what most people consider to be a vacuum. Instead of being a simple, mobile system that you move around, a central vacuum system is a very large system usually located within a basement.
When this central system is hooked up, you can attach various vacuum devices to it. But, these devices don’t attach directly to the central vacuum system itself. Instead, they attach to ports that you set up around your home. These ports connect to the motor of the central vacuum system, and they supply the vacuum devices with suction power, and whatever you vacuum flows down through them and into the dirt receptacle of the central vacuum system.
Naturally, a central vacuum system is only for people who have very specific, and large, vacuuming needs. If that describes you, then a central vacuuming system is something to look into!
If you are looking for a good central vacuum system, then this guide will be very helpful to you. We’re going to be looking at three excellent central vacuum systems, all of which are from OVO. These systems are the OVO Compact 550, the OVO Hybrid 630, and the OVO Hybrid 700. Each one of these central vacuum systems is excellent, and you’re going to learn what they offer, and which one of these systems is the best one for you!
Right before we dive into that, though, it’s important to clarify the fact that while you do need to install various wall ports, along with other components, to use the central vacuum system, none of these central vacuum systems come with those things. This is normal because every home/building has its requirements for how those ports can be set up, among other things.
What Does The OVO Compact 550 Have To Offer?
The OVO Compact 550 is a far more compact central vacuum system than many others. Much of this is due to the relatively small design, which has to do with the fact that OVO designed this central vacuum system so that you could set it up in a variety of different areas and spaces, such as garages. The central vacuum system comes with a garage kit.
Every central vacuum system has something known as a “MAC”. Now, the term “MAC” refers to something called “Maximum Area Coverage”. Maximum Area Coverage refers to the maximum amount of space that a specific system can handle.
With the OVO Compact 550, the MAC is 4,000 square feet. That’s quite a bit of space, and this means you can easily use this central vacuum system in all kinds of different homes, smaller buildings, and even certain apartment complexes. But, if you are planning to use the central vacuum system in a building that is larger than 4,000 square-feet, it will be a bit more difficult for you to properly use it.
When it comes to the suction power, you have access to 550 Air Watts. That isn’t as much suction power as some of the other central vacuum systems that are on the market, but it is important to remember that this is not one of the more expensive central vacuum systems. Instead, it’s fairly inexpensive, and you do get quite a bit for the small price that you pay.
While you are using the OVO Compact 550, it doesn’t make that much noise. Instead, it makes a little bit of noise, less than most vacuum cleaners, so that you don’t have to deal with any annoying sounds or noises while vacuuming.
Installing a central vacuum system is never the most enjoyable task, but the OVO Compact 550 is designed well enough so that it isn’t as challenging as it could be. This is because you can install the OVO Compact 550 using your existing piping system. While this still takes some time, and you may want to hire a professional, it won’t take as much time as other central vacuum systems.
The OVO Compact 550 uses something known as a “Hybrid Filtration System”. Essentially, this filtration system involves using triple-layer disposable bags that ensure all of the dirt, dust, and debris that you vacuum up is filtered, and that it stays within the vacuum.
If you’re looking for a good central vacuum system that is powerful, easy-to-use and set up, and affordable, the OVO Compact 550 is a very good choice!
What Does The OVO Hybrid 630 Have To Offer?
The OVO Hybrid 630 is a little different from the OVO Compact 550. For one thing, it’s larger, and this extra size allows it to work within buildings that are, at the most, 7,500 square-feet. That’s quite a bit of space, and if you have an apartment complex or a small office building, then the OVO Hybrid 630 may be a great central vacuum system for that particular building.
Just as the name implies, the OVO Hybrid 630 gives you 630 Air Watts of suction power. That’s 80 Air Watts more than the OVO Compact 550, and having this extra suction power does make it easier to vacuum on especially dirty surfaces. Most of the time, there may not be a significant difference, but having this extra power is certainly nice.
Since the OVO Hybrid 630 has more suction power – and since it uses a two-motor system, as well – it does make more noise when you’re using it. But, if you compare the OVO Compact 550 and the OVO Hybrid 630, the OVO Hybrid 630 doesn’t make that much more noise. It isn’t that easy to notice, and you shouldn’t have any issues with the noise that the central vacuum system makes.
One of the trademarks of the standard OVO central vacuum system design is the ease in-which you can set up the central vacuum system. Fortunately, the OVO Hybrid 630 is no different, in that regard, and you can install this central vacuum system using your existing piping system. It’s not exactly the easiest thing to do, but there’s no need to install a bunch of new piping and to, essentially, rebuild part of your house.
Ultimately, if you need a good central vacuum that can work within a 7,500 square-foot space, and comes with a lot of suction power, then the OVO Hybrid 630 is a very good choice!
What Does The OVO Hybrid 700 Have To Offer?
The OVO Hybrid 700 is the biggest central vacuum system in this guide, and it’s also the most powerful.
Using the OVO Hybrid 700, you can vacuum a space that is, at the most, 9,000 square-feet. That’s an insane amount of space, and if you have an apartment complex or an office building, this should be more than enough for that particular building.
All of this vacuuming is accomplished using 700 Air Watts of suction power. Using these 700 Air Watts, you can vacuum just about anything. Or, multiple people can be vacuuming at the same time, and everything will continue to run very smoothly and efficiently.
While this central vacuum system does make more noise than the OVO Hybrid 630, the difference is quite minimal. You aren’t going to notice much of a difference, overall, and this means that you can run the OVO Hybrid 700 for a long period without having to deal with the throbbing and buffering noises that most central vacuum systems make.
To use the OVO Hybrid 700, you will have to set it up in your basement, garage, or some other space. And then, you’re going to have to set up the different vacuum inlets. You can install eight of these, for the OVO Hybrid 700. So, if eight people want to vacuum at the same time, they can, and they’ll all be relying on the suction power of the OVO Hybrid 700.
To set up these vacuum inlets, there’s no need for you to invest in any new and complicated piping systems. Instead, you can use the same piping that you’ve used ever since you’ve been living or working in that home/building.
While doing this isn’t unlike the setup process for the OVO Compact 550 or the OVO Compact 630, it’s worth mentioning that this can be a little tricky, and time-consuming. So, if you don’t feel confident in your abilities to set up these inlets, it’s best to hire a professional to do it for you.
Everything that you vacuum up flows through a triple-layer filtration bag. This filtration bag keeps everything nice and clean, and it ensures that none of what you vacuum ends up flowing outside of the vacuum, and into your air.
If you are looking for an exceptionally powerful central vacuum system, then the OVO Hybrid 700 is one of the best choices available! It’s not too difficult to set-up and use; it’s affordable, and, of course, it’s exceptionally powerful!
