The iRobot Roomba 675
In terms of Roomba models, the iRobot Roomba 675 is pretty basic. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s a bad robot vacuum.
Far from it. The Roomba 675 has a couple of fantastic features that make cleaning an absolute breeze.
The first of which is the sensor technology that is used to enable the 675 to navigate its way around your home efficiently.
Now, there are a variety of basic sensors that are used at all times. These sensors prevent things like the vacuum from hitting something or falling down the stairs. They also allow for good efficient cleaning pathways to be created.
These sensors are basic but functional.
However, you also have a technology known as “Dirt Detect.” Dirt Detect is a sensor technology that can sense specific areas and spaces that are unusually dirty. The sensor then feeds this data back to the vacuum, which adjusts its cleaning setting to clean those especially dirty spots adequately.
As for how the Roomba 675 cleans, it uses dual multi-surface brushes. One of these brushes loosens the dirt. The other brush picks the dirt up and allows the vacuum to suck it in, with tremendous ease.
There is also an edge-sweeping brush that is used for cleaning edges and corners.
The brushes are only part of the first cleaning stage. The Roomba 675 uses a three-stage cleaning system. The second part of the cleaning system consists of suction. And the third consists of filtration, which is basic but effective.
Using this vacuum is very easy since it supports Google Home, Amazon Echo, and your smartphone. Using the iRobot Home App, you can create custom schedules, turn on the vacuum, and access all of the data that it is producing, as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection.
If you want an efficient, but basic, robot vacuum, then the Roomba 675 is great!

The iRobot Roomba 695
Out of all of the vacuums on this list, the iRobot Roomba 695 is the newest.
There aren’t too many distinct differences between the Roomba 695 and the Roomba 675, but there are a few that should be noted.
Using a new navigation technology known as “iAdapt”, the navigation and thoroughness of the cleaning paths that are created have been greatly enhanced. Cleaning is a lot faster, and more efficient.
Other than that, though, the differences are minimal. You have the same basic cleaning system, the same multi-device functionality, and the same features.
However, if you want something a little better, and a little newer, then the Roomba 695 is by no means a bad choice.

The iRobot Roomba 690
Just like the previous two, the iRobot Roomba 690 Robot Vacuum has all of the same basic features.
You have a great navigation system, efficient cleaning, and functionality that extends to your smartphone and whatever smart home device you have.
In terms of cleaning power or filtration, everything is the same.
However, the Roomba 690 does give you something that the previous two models don’t give you.
Virtual Wall Barriers.
Now, Virtual Wall Barriers are small tools that you put in front of a space, such as the frame of a door, that you don’t want the vacuum to cross.
This little tool emits a signal that tells the vacuum “Do Not Go Past This Area”, which forces it to stay within a certain radius.
Because of this, it is forced to clean that area much more thoroughly.
Now, if you want the ability to have even more control over where your vacuum cleans, the Roomba 690 is a great choice.
Other than that, though, it is a very similar robot vacuum, in comparison to the others.

Conclusion
At the end of the day, these three robot vacuums are very similar. They’re easy to use, affordable, and incredibly efficient.
For general use, the Roomba 675 is a great choice. For a robot vacuum that offers enhanced navigation and speedier cleaning, the Roomba 695 is ideal. And, if you want a robot vacuum that gives you more control over what you clean, then you can’t go wrong with the Roomba 690.
