As more people continue to buy robot vacuums, there will be more improvements made to the robot vacuum designs that exist, and there will also be more manufacturers making robot vacuums.

Today, that’s the reality. There are a lot of different robot vacuum manufacturers and a lot of different robot vacuums that are available. It isn’t always easy to find the right robot vacuum that is suitable for your needs.

Reading this buying guide will help alleviate that. Today, we’re going to be looking at the iRobot Roomba 614, and the Eufy RoboVac 30C. These are both excellent robot vacuums that have some fantastic design attributes and features.

You’re going to learn about all of those things, and when you’re done reading this buying guide, you’ll know which robot vacuum is the best robot vacuum for you!

What Does The iRobot Roomba 614 Have To Offer?

The iRobot Roomba 614 is one of the most basic Roomba robot vacuums available. It doesn’t come with as many features and unique design attributes that you’ll find in the more expensive Roomba robot vacuums, but it offers an excellent vacuuming experience.

iRobot Roomba 614

To use the iRobot Roomba 614, you’re going to need to use a remote control. This remote control comes with the robot vacuum, and on this remote control, there are all of the features and settings that you’ll need.

More specifically, you have access to features such as being able to turn on the robot vacuum, turn it off, tell the vacuum to recharge, choose a cleaning mode, as well as being able to create a custom schedule. What’s great about the custom schedule feature is that it allows you to automate when the vacuum cleans. So, if you want the robot vacuum to clean while you’re at work, you can do that.

When the iRobot Roomba 614 is moving across your floors and vacuuming up everything that’s in its path, it uses a 3-Stage Cleaning System. The 3-Stage Cleaning System that the iRobot Roomba 614 uses is a common design trait in just about every Roomba vacuum, and that’s because it works very well.

What this 3-Stage Cleaning system consists of is three cleaning stages. First, the robot vacuum uses its brushes to loosen up all of the dirt, dust, and debris that it is coming into contact with. Then, it uses the brushes to lift that stuff into the main suction pathway, which is right behind the main burhs. Finally, to end the process, all of that stuff is vacuumed up, and thrown into the dustbin.

For this 3-Stage Cleaning System, the iRobot Roomba 614 relies on Dual Multi-Surface Brushes. These brushes work very well on hard floors. But, for softer floors, such as rugs and carpets, they aren’t always able to reach in and get rid of the dirt and dust that’s within those kinds of surfaces. But, overall, the brushes work well enough and can clean up most things.

As for the suction power, it, too, is very good on hard floors, but not quite as good on soft floors. For thin soft floors, it’s perfect, but for thicker soft floors, it doesn’t always work well.

In the end, the iRobot Roomba 614 is a well-designed and efficient robot vacuum. It’s not as elaborate as other Roomba robot vacuums, but it’s affordable, well-made, and very useful.

iRobot Roomba 614 vs. Eufy RoboVac 30C

What Does The Eufy RoboVac 30C Have To Offer?

The Eufy RoboVac 30C is a bit more expensive than the iRobot Roomba 614, but for what you pay, you get quite a bit.

To use the Eufy RoboVac 30C, you’ll be using a remote, your smartphone, or a Smart Device. If you use your smartphone, you have access to features such as scheduling and being able to change the cleaning mode. And, if you use a Smart Device, such as Amazon Alexa, you have access to those same features, but you can use your voice to activate them.

Eufy RoboVac 30C

When you turn on the Eufy RoboVac 30C, it’ll start to clean your home. It’ll move around and detect where it is, and where it needs to go. It’s an efficient system, but what makes it work is the fact that the motor generates 1500Pa of suction.

For a robot vacuum of this price, that’s a decent amount of suction. It works well on any hard floors, and for most soft floors, as well. So, when you see the robot vacuum moving across your floors, you’ll see it pick up all of the dirt, dust, and debris that’s laying across those surfaces.

What’s nice is that the Eufy RoboVac 30C makes use of something known as “BoostIQ Technology”. BoostIQ Technology is a technology that uses the sensors that are within the robot vacuum to detect when the vacuum has moved from one surface to another. If the Eufy RoboVac 30C goes from a carpeted surface, to a tile floor, it detects this, and then uses less suction to save battery-life.

There’s another great feature that the Eufy RoboVac 30C offers, as well. This feature has to do with the fact that the Eufy RoboVac 30C comes with Boundary Strips. Boundary Strips are physical strips that you lay out in front of doorways and other spaces. What these strips do is they tell the Eufy RoboVac 30C not to cross. That way, you can force the Eufy RoboVac 30C to stay out of certain areas, or you can force it to stay within areas that need a lot of extra vacuuming.

Ultimately, the Eufy RoboVac 30C is an excellent robot vacuum that comes equipped with some great features and a wonderful design. If you want a more powerful and convenient robot vacuum, and you don’t mind spending some extra money, then the Eufy RoboVac 30C is a fantastic choice!
