When you walk on a surface every day, for several weeks, that surface is going to get dirty. Dirty. And that’s just natural since your feet and shoes probably aren’t the cleanest because you are also stepping on all kinds of other surfaces that other people are stepping on. The people stepping on those other surfaces are doing the same thing that you’re doing, and this leads to feet and shoes that are, more or less, perpetually dirty.
With a carpet, the dirt and grime end up going two places. It gets on the top of the carpet, right on the tips of the carpet’s bristles, but a lot of the dirt and grime sinks a bit further down, into the depths of the carpet. When this happens, the dirt and grime are difficult to see, and it can be a lot harder to clean. But, make no mistake, the gunk and grime within the carpet must be cleaned up, because it will slowly degrade the fibers and fabric of that particular carpet, turning it into something dirty, gross, and completely unusable.

In the middle of the Hoover FH50150, two tanks will contain water and, if you desire, a cleaning solution. One of these tanks holds the clean water, and the other tank holds all of the dirty water, as well as the gunk and grime that is going back into the carpet cleaner.
Water – and cleaning solution, if you choose to use it – is used as a way of loosening up the dirt, dust, grime, and gunk that is on your carpet, and within your carpet. It makes things a lot easier for the carpet cleaner because then it can more effectively scrub it up, and then suck it back into the machine, into the dirty water tank.
Through the use of the SpinScrub Brush System, scrubbing is made very easy, for the Hoover FH50150. This is an effective and thorough brushing system that uses powerful fibers to remove stains, dirt, dust, gunk, and grime. And, along with that, heat is used to aid in the water drying, as well as to loosen up the gunk and grime.
Once the Hoover FH50150 has done those things, the DualV Nozzle is used to suck what has been scrubbed and loosened up, back into the carpet cleaner.
It’s an effective system that can clean any carpet.
If you need some extra mobility, there is a small upholstery tool that you can use for smaller spaces, and couches and chairs. There is also an eight-inch hose that extends the capabilities of the Hoover FH50150.
Ultimately, the Hoover FH50150 Deluxe is a fantastic carpet cleaner that can clean your carpet, no matter how dirty.

What Does The Hoover FH520251 Elite Pet Carpet Cleaner Offer?
With the Hoover FH520251 Elite Pet Carpet Cleaner, you have a carpet cleaner that has many similarities to the Hoover FH50150 Deluxe. Similarities are seen in the design, which also resembles a carpet cleaner, as well as the usage of various cleaning systems.
Once again, you have the SpinScrub Brush System. This is an effective system that uses the powerful bristles on the brushes within the carpet cleaner, to scrub off the gunk and grime, and wash away the stains. Water is used, of course, to aid in loosening those things up, and then the scrubbing goes by a lot quicker, as a result of using water to loosen those things up.
The powerful suction is used to remove the gunk, grime, dirt, dust, and debris that is on your carpet. All of this then flows into the dirty water tank, which is right next to the water tank with clean water. If you want to, you can use some cleaning solution to aid in the carpet cleaning process.
Where the Hoover FH50251 excels, though, is the fact that it’s exceptionally good at removing stains. The usage of water is one big reason for this, and the other reason is that you have access to an antimicrobial pet tool. This is a small tool that is designed to remove pet stains easily and effectively. If you have pets, then this is a fantastic tool to have, because it can remove any pet stain, with ease.
In the end, the Hoover FH50251 is a great carpet cleaner, but what really makes it a great purchase is whether or not you have pets. If you don’t have pets, then the Hoover FH50150 is probably the better choice, since the Hoover FH50251 has been designed for cleaning up pet stains, as well as general carpet cleaning.

Considering the fh50250 and the fh50251, is either of them better for cleaning carpeted stair treads, or is there a third option that is better than either of the above ? We have a Bissell portable that we have used for pet spots and stairs but our ages (80+) don’t do on-your-knees well and the Bissell leaks, so we are looking at the upright option, and will avoid Bissell. Thanks for any advice you may offer
