Having a space that is just too humid is never a particularly comfortable or pleasant experience. With the humidity and the heat, there comes sweating. A lot of sweating. And, sweating is one of those things that is not only gross and annoying, but it also depletes your energy.

Vremi vs hOmeLabs 70 Pint Energy Star Dehumidifiers

When you sweat, you are using a lot of the water that is in your body as a coolant, to balance the humidity and the heat, so that you can continue to function. For your body to sweat, to keep yourself cool, it needs to use a lot of energy. This makes it harder for you to function since you can slowly become exhausted when you are sweating a great deal.

Of course, humidity doesn’t just have to do with sweating. Sometimes, it’s humid out, but not that hot, so you aren’t sweating. In cases such as these, what ends up happening is that there is a significant amount of moisture within the air, and all of this moisture serves as an excellent breeding ground for things like mold and mildew, as well as other types of contaminants that can infect your air with nasty particles. Particles that, when you inhale them frequently, they can damage and degrade your lungs, and other aspects of your body. Including leading to breathing problems, allergies, as well as other things.

Having mold and mildew in your home is not a good thing at all. And, humidity doesn’t just lead to mold and mildew, it also leads to a breeding ground for all kinds of other little sicknesses to grow and spread. Spaces such as basements are especially prone to this kind of humidity.

Through the use of a good dehumidifier, you can reduce much of the humidity that is currently in your space, and this prevents things like mold and mildew from taking residence within that space. It also prevents you from sweating and breathing in air that’s full of nasty particles.

What Does The hOmeLabs 70 Pint Energy Star Dehumidifier Offer?

To start with the most basic, but important, fact, the hOmeLabs 70 Pint Energy Star Dehumidifier can remove seventy-pints of moisture from your air, in a single day. That’s nine gallons of water, which is a significant amount, especially for a dehumidifier such as this one. If you have a larger space that has a lot of humidity within it, then this is an excellent dehumidifier to use, because it’s able to efficiently remove that humidity, preventing the growth of all kinds of nasty things.

Every dehumidifier has something known as a “Maximum Area Coverage” or “MAC”, for short, and this refers to the maximum amount of space that the dehumidifier is able to dehumidify properly. For the hOmeLabs 70 Pint Energy Star Dehumidifier, it’s able to dehumidify a space that is 4,000 square feet. That is a lot of space, and because of this, you aren’t going to have to move this dehumidifier around that much. Making the experience a little easier, and a little more convenient, overall.

As for the design, it’s sleek and quite pleasing, on an aesthetic level. There are wheels on the bottom, as well, and these wheels allow you to move the dehumidifier around, with ease. Handles are to the side, as well, and you can use the handles, and the wheels, to move the dehumidifier around. But, due to the MAC, you probably won’t need to do that very often.
