Right away, you’ll notice that this dehumidifier is small and lightweight. It weighs just under seven-pounds, and it has an extremely simple design that consists of a power button, a handle, and a water tank.

There’s nothing complex or convoluted about this dehumidifier, or its design, and this is one of the most notable features of this dehumidifier.

Every dehumidifier has something known as a “Maximum Area Coverage”, and a Maximum Area Coverage is the amount of space that a dehumidifier – or other devices, such as air purifiers and humidifiers – can work in.

This dehumidifier has a Maximum Area Coverage of 300 square-feet, which is a pretty decent amount of space, especially when you consider the small size of this dehumidifier.

But, if you place this dehumidifier into a space that is larger than 300 square-feet, it won’t be able to dehumidify the entirety of that space, only the 300 square-feet that surround the dehumidifier.

In a single day, this dehumidifier is capable of removing 25-ounces of water, from the humidity in your air. If you compare that number to other dehumidifiers, it’s definitely not a lot.

This dehumidifier is designed for people who have relaxed dehumidification needs, rather than needing something that is far more intensive and powerful.

All of that moisture can flow into one of two places. If you would like to use the water tank, then all of the moisture will flow into the 68-ounce water tank.

This is a fairly large water tank, relative to the size of the dehumidifier, and it can hold nearly three-days worth of moisture.

If you would like the experience to be a little more convenient, then you can have all of that water flow somewhere else. This is done using a three-foot drainage hose.

Using this hose, you can set the dehumidifier up so that all of the moisture flows straight into your sink or through a window, out into some kind of outdoor area.

Regardless of which humidity disposal method you choose, you’ll find that the experience is convenient and pleasant. Even if you use the water tank and run the dehumidifier for a long period of time, there’s no need to worry about the water tank overflowing.

Once the water tank is full, the dehumidifier detects that and shuts itself down, so that the tank is unable to overflow.

While the dehumidifier is running, you’ll notice that it makes very little noise. Instead of making the same loud noises and sounds that most dehumidifiers make, this dehumidifier is nice and quiet, allowing you to focus on whatever it is that you’re doing, without being distracted.

This lack of noise is due to the Peltier technology that this dehumidifier uses. And, as a result of this technology, the dehumidifier is also allowed to be small and compact.

This not only makes setting up and using the dehumidifier easy, it also allows you to take the dehumidifier from space to space, with ease.

When air flows into this dehumidifier, it passes through refrigerated coils that turn the humidity in that air into liquid. But, right before the air is able to pass through those refrigerated coils, it must go through a Pre-Filter.

With this Pre-Filter, all of the dust and allergens that are floating around, within the air, are removed. This ensures that the dehumidified air that comes out of this dehumidifier is nice and clean, and free of the dust and allergens that were in it previously.

For all of the excellent qualities that this dehumidifier offers, there’s two small flaws that it has. One of these flaws is the fact that it’s not very fast, so it takes a long time for it to dehumidify the air in a particular space.

The other flaw is that this is an expensive dehumidifier, and depending on your needs, it might not be worth the price.

Conclusion

If you can look past those two small flaws, and you are looking for a dehumidifier that offers and effortlessly convenient and efficient dehumidification process, then the Hathaspace Portable Home Dehumidifier is a very good choice!

It’s small and lightweight, making it easy for you to set it up in plenty of spaces, and for the most part, it’s an efficient dehumidifier that cleans up the humidity in whatever space you place it in.
