Robot vacuums have come a long way since their inception in the mid-nineties. In the early nineties, there weren’t very many robot vacuums around. And, the robot vacuums that were available weren’t very good. Instead, they were clunky and inefficient.
What the biggest problem was, was the fact that the sensors didn’t work. Instead, the robot vacuums would just move around and hit furniture and walls. Very little vacuuming took place, and by the time some vacuuming did happen, the battery ran out.
Today, things are very different. Robot vacuums are some of the most efficient and effective vacuum cleaners available. While they can’t compete with the suction power of upright vacuums, they’re slowly getting there. And, they have a distinct advantage over those vacuums, which is the fact that they automate the entire vacuuming process. To use a robot vacuum, you don’t have to do anything, just press a couple of buttons and that’s it!

To use the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901, you can either press the button that’s on the vacuum itself, use your smartphone, use Google Assistant, or use Amazon Alexa.
Using your smartphone is the best option, because it gives you access to a couple of features that those two other options don’t give you. You can create a custom schedule, adjust the cleaning mode, and turn the vacuum on and off, using your smartphone. But, you can do those same things with Amazon Alexa. Using your smartphone, however, gives you access to a map of your home. On this map, you can select specific areas that you want the robot vacuum to clean. This makes it easier to thoroughly clean various rooms and spaces that are especially dirty, and it gives you more control over the cleaning process, overall.
When the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901 is vacuuming your floors, it makes use of a Three-Stage Cleaning System. This system is quite basic, but it works very well. Many other robot vacuums make use of a similar cleaning system, due to its efficiency.
This cleaning system involves loosening up the dirt and dust that is on your floor, sweeping it into the main suction pathway, and then vacuuming it up. When all of that dirt and dust gets vacuumed up, it goes into a 350ML dust bin.
Most robot vacuums aren’t that good at vacuuming on rugs and carpets. The ECOVACS DEEBOT 901 is a little different, though, because it has been designed to vacuum hard floors, and to vacuum on carpets and rugs, through the use of interchangeable suction plates. But, it’s important to be aware of the fact that vacuuming on rugs and carpets will take longer than vacuuming on hard floors.
On a single charge, the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901 gives you up to one-hundred minutes of battery-life.
Ultimately, the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901 is a very well-designed robot vacuum. It gives you control over the ins and outs of the vacuuming process; you have access to a long battery-life, and, of course, the performance is very good!

What Does The ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 Have To Offer?
The ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 is a lot like the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901. There aren’t too many distinct differences, and you’re going to get a very similar vacuuming experience with the ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930. But, with that being said, there is one key difference that this robot vacuum offers.
The ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 doesn’t just vacuum, it also mops. This mopping is accomplished with a water pump, sensors that monitor the flow of the water and when mopping is needed, as well as settings that you can use to turn the mopping on and off.
Depending on the settings that you’ve chosen, the robot vacuum will mop when it is on hard floors. As it does this, it will still vacuum, but the suction will be decreased, and mopping will be the main function being performed by the vacuum. But, when the ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 moves to a carpet or a rug, it will stop mopping, and adjust the amount of suction that is being used, so that the carpet/rug will be vacuumed as thoroughly as it can. Or, if you choose one particular setting, the robot vacuum will simply avoid all of the carpets, and focus on mopping.
In terms of performance, the vacuuming is great, and so is the mopping. It’s just like the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901. But, one thing to remember is that the mopping this robot vacuum offers is not a replacement for regular mopping, but more of a supplement to regular mopping.
To use this robot vacuum, you’ll be pressing the main button on the vacuum, using your smartphone, using Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa. These devices give you access to scheduling, changing the cleaning mode, and, of course, a mapping feature. This mapping feature gives you complete control of where the vacuum goes and what it cleans. It’s one of the best features out of any robot vacuum, and it makes the overall vacuuming experience significantly easier.
On a single charge, the ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 gives you 110-minutes of battery-life. That’s ten-minutes more than the battery-life of the ECOVACS DEEBOT 901.
If you want a robot vacuum that gives you excellent performance and functionality, as well as a very useful mopping feature, then the ECOVACS DEEBOT OZMO 930 is a fantastic choice!
